Dr. Gary C. Royals has been an ordained minister in the Western NC Conference since 1979. He has served
churches in Kannapolis, Brevard, Mt. Holly, Charlotte and Jamestown. He has had experience working with the District Committee
on Ordained Ministry in Charlotte, the Committee on Congregational Development in Asheville and the Committee on Superintendency
in the High Point District. During one of his appointments, he merged two churches into a new congregation, relocated them and
built a new facility.
Gary holds the Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary and the Doctor of Ministry degree from Trinity International University near Chicago. Gary is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling. He has helped organize, instruct and lead three pilgrimages to Israel. His wife is Debbie and they have two children; Joshua, 31 who lives in Tampa and Stephanie, 28 who lives in Huntersville. Gary and Debbie are especially proud of their one and only granddaughter, Kaylee, who is five years of age. Gary is excited and honored to be appointed as superintendent in the Charlotte District. He looks forward to worshipping and working with each of you as, together, we make the Charlotte District stronger for the cause of Christ.
